Today @ 11am-3pm I hosted and taught a “Introduction to Boudoir Photography” class. This class had Ashley as the model and Bill, Brian, Daniel, Lloyd & Scottie as the student photographers.
The class started at roughly the expected time. We had a brief introduction of one another and then started a discussion about Boudoir Photography. During this time I discussed aspects of how to interact with your clients, setting expectations and a little bit of studio setup. We then discussed models and discovery of people to work with.
After this discussion we then all pitched in on setting up the studio. I had each person participate in setting up the studio for use. Upon completion I had Ashley join us and begin shooting. I offered some hands on interaction with the photographers and model as well as sat back and allowed each person to create what they wanted. The workshop enabled each photographer to be an assistant in the shoot as well as the photographer. This enables each person to gain the vantage point of helping as well as creating.
Upon completion of the shoot everyone felt comfortable with their work and really enjoyed working together.
Lastly I am asking the attendees as well as the model to provide any type of feedback. I welcome them as comments here on the blog or to my email address. Either way I look forward to hearing your input!
Thanks,
C.
